A distinguished 1930s Parisian Art Deco dining table in rosewood, in the taste of Jules Leleu, sourced in Paris, France. The rectangular top displays beautifully figured rosewood veneer, framed by a delicate geometric inlaid border with contrasting wood and mother-of-pearl accents at each corner. The architectural double-pedestal base features substantial cylindrical columns, sculptural geometric supports, and a central stretcher embellished with fine brass detailing. Brass collars and sabots provide an elegant contrast to the rich, warm tones of the rosewood, highlighting the refined craftsmanship and sophisticated proportions characteristic of French Art Deco design. Originally designed with pull-out extensions at either end, the table retains its integrated extension mechanism; the original leaves are no longer present. Its generous proportions and architectural presence make it equally suitable as a dining table, writing table, or library desk. The table has been structurally revised and refinished, preserving its period character while restoring the beauty of the rosewood.
