1930s French Art Deco Walnut Dining Chairs in Olive Green Velvet – Set of 10
Sourced in Paris, this set of ten French Art Deco dining chairs dates to the 1930s and reflects the refined, architectural direction of the later Deco period. The design is defined by clean lines and balanced proportions, with gently tapered legs and a structured walnut frame. The rear legs extend upward in a continuous line to form the back supports, introducing a subtle curvature that softens the silhouette while maintaining a disciplined, geometric presence. Upholstered backs and seats give the chairs a comfortable, cohesive profile suited for both formal dining and everyday use. The set has been fully restored in our workshop. The walnut frames were structurally reinforced and refinished to highlight the natural depth and character of the wood, while the seats and backs were completely rebuilt and newly upholstered in an olive green performance velvet. The tailored piping trim adds a clean, finished edge while maintaining the restraint of the original design. Elegant, cohesive, and well-proportioned, this set of ten is increasingly difficult to source and works equally well in a period Art Deco interior or a more contemporary setting.
