17th Century Italian Baroque Walnut Side Table
A 17th-century Italian Baroque walnut side table, sourced in Paris, featuring elaborate turned legs, an architectural stretcher base, and a richly aged patina. The table has been structurally revised and waxed in our workshop, preserving its original character and naturally aged finish. The rectangular walnut top features a geometric inlaid border with curved corner detailing, complemented by a molded edge. A single wide drawer with two turned wooden knobs and traditional dovetail joinery sits above a shaped apron accented with decorative finials. Four boldly turned legs are joined by an intricate H-form stretcher arrangement, distinguished by a series of rounded and ring-turned elements characteristic of Baroque furniture. The walnut displays warm brown tones, darker accents, and a naturally developed patina, with visible grain, historic marks, and variations in color that contribute to its character. Well suited as an occasional table, a statement piece in a living room, or an accent table in an entryway.
