Sourced in Provence, France, this late 19th-century French Provincial dining table is handcrafted from solid walnut and showcases the timeless character of traditional country furniture. The substantial 2.5-inch-thick plank top is framed by breadboard ends and rests on a sculpted trestle base joined by a through-tenoned stretcher with exposed wedged tenons, reflecting the enduring craftsmanship of the period. The solid walnut top displays a beautifully developed patina with expressive grain, natural knots, and age-related wear accumulated over generations of use. Gracefully shaped trestle supports terminating in broad molded feet provide excellent stability while lending the table an elegant yet understated Provincial silhouette. Professionally restored for structural stability and finished with wax to enhance the natural beauty of the walnut while preserving its authentic character and rich patina. Equally suited as a dining table, library table, or large writing table, it brings timeless French craftsmanship to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
