1930s French Art Deco Walnut Commode with Floral Marquetry

A refined French Art Deco commode, sourced in Paris and dating to the 1930s. Executed in richly figured walnut, the piece features a gently curved façade with book matched veneer across the central drawer stack, flanked by two cabinet doors decorated with delicate floral marquetry. Subtle linear inlay solid brass hardware, including sabots and collar details, add contrast while maintaining the restrained elegance characteristic of the period. The interior offers practical storage with two side cabinets and three central drawers, all constructed with dovetail joinery. This piece has been structurally restored and revised in our workshop, including reinforcement where needed and a full refinishing of the wood surfaces. The result is a solid, stable cabinet that retains a warm, naturally aged character while being ready for daily use.
