Sourced in Provence, this late 18th-century French provincial table reflects the influence of Louis XIII forms interpreted in a rural context. Crafted entirely from solid oak, the table has a strong, straightforward presence and the kind of wear and character that only comes from centuries of use. The rectangular top is built from thick oak planks arranged in a chevron pattern and framed by a solid oak border. The surface shows a warm, well-developed patina with visible grain variation, softened edges, and age-related wear throughout. Minor separations and irregularities in the planks are consistent with the table’s age and traditional hand construction. The base features turned oak legs connected by traditional stretchers, giving the table excellent stability and weight. The table has been structurally revised in our workshop to ensure it is solid and stable for daily use. The surface has been carefully cleaned and finished with hand-applied wax to preserve the original patina and natural tone of the oak. Well suited for use as a dining table, kitchen table, or center table, this piece works easily in both traditional and more relaxed, modern interiors.
