Antique French provincial oak table, dating to the late 19th century and sourced in Provence, featuring a restrained rectangular form with a single frieze drawer and distinctive turned bobbin legs. Structurally revised in our workshop, the table has been reinforced for stability and retains a solid, sturdy presence. The surface has been cleaned and waxed, preserving its original patina while bringing out the depth and warmth of the oak. The top is constructed from wide oak planks framed within a mitered border, showing natural movement, knots, and age-related character throughout. The drawer is constructed with traditional dovetail joinery, retains its original wooden pull, and opens smoothly, offering practical storage without interrupting the table’s simple silhouette. The turned legs add a sculptural rhythm and give the piece a slightly more decorative presence compared to more austere farm tables, making it versatile as a writing desk, console, or small dining table.
