A charming set of six late 19th century French dining chairs in the Louis XIII style, sourced in Paris and crafted from solid walnut. Each chair features a gently arched crest rail above turned baluster spindles and finial-capped uprights, raised on turned legs joined by an H-form stretcher. The chairs retain their original hand-woven cane seats set within molded frames. Our workshop has structurally revised the frames to ensure stability for daily use, while preserving the character of the period construction. The walnut has been cleaned and finished with a protective wax, enhancing the natural tone and patina. Elegant yet practical in scale, the set works equally well around a farmhouse table or in a more formal dining setting.
