An exquisite and rare set of six early 19th-century French dining chairs crafted in the Grand Louis XV style and sourced directly from Provence, France. Masterfully hand-carved from solid wood, these chairs feature elegant frames adorned with a hand-painted antique white finish, highlighted by light green, yellow, orange, and red paint accents. The paint has developed a naturally aged patina, with characterful distressed areas adding to their charm. The chairs have been structurally restored and retain their original hand-woven cane backs, which remain in excellent condition. While the cane seats have experienced wear over the years, we have added custom padded cushions upholstered in a striped green and blue linen fabric, complete with matching piping and back bows to secure them in place. Their serpentine-shaped seats and sides enhance the graceful silhouette, further complemented by intricately hand-carved cabriole legs. Solid, stable, and exhibiting exceptional joinery, these chairs embody the timeless sophistication of traditional French craftsmanship.

- Origin: Provence, France

- Dimensions: W 19.5" x D 21" x H 40.75" - seat height w/ cushion 19.75"; without 18"

- Condition: The chairs have been structurally restored and outfitted with new custom cushions. The paint finish features a naturally aged patina with charming distressed details. While the original cane on the backs remains intact and in excellent condition, the cane on the seats has worn over time.
