The chairs are constructed from solid oak, with thick square legs, straight stretchers on all sides, and three gently shaped ladder-back rails. Turned ball finials crown the back stiles, adding a restrained decorative detail. The seats are woven in natural rush in a traditional four-quadrant pattern. The frames have been structurally revised for stability and cleaned and finished with a warm wax that preserves the natural tone and grain of the oak. Well-proportioned and comfortable for everyday use, these chairs work easily with standard dining tables and suit a range of interiors from farmhouse to more contemporary settings.
