A fine pair of late 19th century French Louis XVI style bergère chairs, sourced in Provence, France. Beautifully handcrafted from solid hardwood featuring restored frames retaining original cream painted finish showcasing a naturally aged distressed patina. Each chair features a graceful oval-shaped back with the front upholstered in the original muted blue fabric finished with brass nailhead trim, and the reverse covered in the original plaid fabric. Scrolled arms, loose seat cushions, and fluted legs with rosettes complete the design.
