Antique French Louis XV Style Painted Provincial Dining Chairs in Striped Jacquard – Set of 8
An exquisite restored set of eight late-19th-century French Provincial dining chairs in the Louis XV style, sourced in Provence. Hand-crafted from solid hardwood, the frames feature graceful serpentine lines, crisp floral crest carvings, finely detailed foliate motifs along the apron, and cabriole legs ending in subtle scroll toes. The antique white painted finish shows a naturally aged patina with gentle wear consistent with age. Each chair was fully stripped and meticulously restored by our artisans in our New York workshop. The frames were structurally reinforced, and the seats were rebuilt from the foundation up with new webbing, springs, and padding for proper comfort and support. Newly reupholstered in a beautiful French woven jacquard with classic navy and natural stripes, the fabric is clean-finished with hand-made matching single piping around the back and welt-band trim on the seat for a tailored, refined presentation. Solid, stable, and exceptionally crafted, this set blends the timeless charm of French Provincial design with fresh upholstery and everyday functionality, making them an elegant choice for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
