19th Century French Louis Philippe Walnut Chest of Drawers
An elegant mid-19th century French Louis Philippe commode, sourced in Provence, France. Hand-crafted from solid walnut, the piece has been structurally revised and fully refinished. The surface shows a rich brown tone with striking grain, subtle sheen, and preserved character marks that speak to its age. The rectangular top with rounded corners and molded edge rests above a discreet frieze drawer fitted with brass pulls, over three full-length drawers framed with simple molding. Each retains its original brass escutcheons and working locks with keys. Raised on short bracket feet, the commode reflects the clean lines and quiet elegance of the Louis Philippe period. Drawer boxes in pine with dovetail joinery further underscore its traditional 19th-century craftsmanship.
