1940s French Art Deco Sycamore Maple Sideboard
French Art Deco sideboard dating to the 1940s, sourced in Provence. The piece is veneered in blond sycamore maple and features refined chevron and starburst veneer compositions across the doors and top, framed by linear-grain panels. The cabinet is raised on tapered legs with original brass sabots and retains its original brass toggle hardware. The façade is organized with four doors, including a central mirrored pair with starburst veneer. The interior offers generous storage, with shelving throughout and two upper drawers lined in green felt, one in each outer compartment. The interior construction is solid and well executed, with adjustable shelves and clean joinery. The proportions are balanced and architectural, characteristic of late French Art Deco furniture, with an emphasis on veneer craftsmanship and restrained decorative detail.
