Transport yourself to the rustic charm of an early 19th-century French Provincial farmhouse with this beautiful oak dough baking table or kitchen island. Made in the early 1800s, it reflects traditional craftsmanship with a 4.5-foot rectangular plank top featuring breadboard ends and wooden dowels. The mortise and tenon joints ensure sturdy construction. The thick top slides open to reveal a storage bin once used for dough preparation, doubling as a kneading surface and ironing board. Over time, the wood has developed a warm brown patina, highlighting its natural grain. The hand-carved scalloped apron, turned legs, trestle support, and bun feet add to its charm. Though it shows signs of age with minor splits and wear, the table remains strong and functional, perfect as a kitchen island or display piece.
