An elegant late 19th-century French provincial painted loveseat or settee made in the taste of Louis XVI. The settee features a solid hand-molded frame with a square-shaped back featuring a naturally aged patina with distressed antique white lacquer finish. The frame showcases an intricately hand-carved floral motifs decorated with gold leaf accents. The settee is upholstered in green color velvet fabric clean-finished with gimp trim. The loveseat is supported by four elegantly tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet typical for Louis XVI style.
