A late 19th-century French writing desk made in the style of Louis XIII, sourced from Provence, France. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid oak wood featuring a rectangular top adorned with a decorative gadrooned edge. The top has been renewed with vintage brown Ralph Lauren leather. The wood showcases a lovely naturally aged patina with a rich brown color. The desk is cased with two storage drawers constructed with dovetail joins and wooden knobs. Raised on traditional, elegantly hand-carved barley twist legs conjoined with an X-shaped barley twist trestle decorated with a central finial. The desk has been structurally restored. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a Traditional French Louis XIII profile.
