The 19th-century Country French farmhouse trestle table is a stunning piece, hand-crafted from solid maple wood. It boasts a 6.5 feet-long rectangular plank top with a beautifully carved edge, showcasing the craftsmanship of its era. The wood exhibits a naturally aged rustic patina, adding to its charm and character. Constructed with wood peg joinery, the trestle base includes two storage drawers in the frieze, along with a central drawer featuring large wrought iron ring handles. The table provides ample legroom, measuring 22 inches from the floor to the apron. Supported by thick and chunky square legs, chamfered and ending with a frame shoe, the base is reinforced by stretchers held together with exposed wooden dowels. Solid, stable, and featuring excellent joinery and craftsmanship, this table embodies the classic French farmhouse profile. It serves multiple purposes, working well as a work table, console, display table, or even a kitchen table.
