Antique French Renaissance Henry II Style Oak Cane Dining Chairs - Set of 6

Late 19th-century French Renaissance dining chairs made in the style of Henry II, sourced from Provence, France. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid oak wood featuring an exquisite hand-carved ornate frame with slat cane back, barley twist columns crowned with elegant finials. The wood showcases a naturally aged patina with a rich brown color and grains. The set comes with hand-weaved cane seats with a gadroon edge trim. The seats are supported on hand-carved turned front legs and barley twist back legs conjoined by front and side stretchers. The front legs are also decorated with hand-carved rosettes. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a French Renaissance profile.
