French provincial ladder-back dining chairs sourced in Provence, dating to the late 19th century. The chairs are constructed from solid oak, with thick square legs, straight stretchers on all sides, and three gently shaped ladder-back rails. Turned ball finials crown the back stiles, adding a restrained decorative detail. The seats are woven in natural rush in a traditional four-quadrant pattern. The frames have been structurally revised for stability and cleaned and finished with a warm wax that preserves the natural tone and grain of the oak. Well-proportioned and comfortable for everyday use, these chairs work easily with standard dining tables and suit a range of interiors from farmhouse to more contemporary settings.
