An elegant set of six late 19th-century French dining chairs in the Louis XVI Neoclassical style, sourced from Provence, France. Each chair features a handcrafted frame with an oval-shaped Neoclassical balloon lyre-back, beautifully hand-painted in a creamy antique white lacquer that highlights a naturally aged, distressed patina. The chairs have been structurally restored and newly upholstered in luxurious sage green chenille fabric by Kravet, finished with matching welt trim for a polished look. They are supported by elegantly tapered, fluted legs that end in toupie feet, a hallmark of the Louis XVI style. The front legs are adorned with intricately molded rosettes at the corners. These chairs are solid, stable, and exemplify excellent joinery and craftsmanship, embodying the classic Louis XVI profile.
