Handsome French writing desk made in the style of Louis XVI, sourced from Provence, France. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid satinwood featuring a rectangular top covered with burgundy red distressed leather decorated with a gold lead trim around the edge. The wood showcases a naturally aged warm, characterful patina with rich wood grains. The desk is fronted with two large storage drawers constructed with dovetail joints and metal pulls. The apron clearance measures 22" from the floor to the bottom of the apron. The desk is raised on elegant tapered fluted legs ending on brass toes.
