19th Century French Louis XIII Style Walnut Writing Desk

Early 19th-century French writing table made in the style of Louis XIII, sourced from Provence, France. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid walnut wood featuring a 4'25" long rectangular top with a beveled edge. The wood showcases a naturally aged patina with a rich brown color. The desk has two storage drawers constructed with dovetail joints and metal handles and comes with the original key. The table is raised on large hand-carved barley twist legs sitting on bun feet. The legs are conjoined with a solid barley twist trestle with a large central finial. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a Traditional Louis XIII profile.

- Condition: The desk has been structurally restored. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with age-appropriate wear and natural warping.
