19th Century French Neoclassical Louis XVI Style Cane Walnut Bergere Armchair

Spectacular late 19th-century French Neoclassical bergere armchair, created in the grand Louis XVI style, is a true masterpiece. Meticulously hand-crafted from solid walnut, this chair features a barrel back frame that exudes elegance, complemented by gracefully curved arms. The frame itself showcases intricate hand-carved motifs, exhibiting a naturally aged warm patina that adds to its charm. Each panel of the chair has been beautifully covered with hand-woven cane, while the sides boast a double-caning technique. The spacious seat is raised on hand-carved tapered fluted legs, expertly constructed with dowels. The chair's excellent joinery and craftsmanship are evident throughout, and it boasts a classic French Louis XVI Neoclassical silhouette that is truly captivating.

- Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with age-appropriate wear.  One minor cane string break on outside panel very hard to see, picture provided.
