A lovely set of six French dining chairs made in the style of Louis XVI, sourced from Provence, France. Each chair showcases a hand-crafted frame, featuring an oval-shaped back hand-painted in creamy antique white paint. The paint showcases a naturally aged crackled patina with some characterful distressed areas. The chairs have been structurally restored and newly upholstered in a lovely striped green and blue linen fabric. The fabric was clean-finished with matching hand-made welt trim. Supported by gracefully tapered, fluted legs culminating in toupie feet, characteristic of the Louis XVI style, the front legs captivate with beautifully carved rosettes on the corners. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a Traditional French Louis XVI Profile.
