French provincial set of 8 painted dining chairs made in the style of French Louis XVI/ Marie Antoinette. The set consists of 6 side chairs and 2 armchairs. The chairs feature a hand-molded frame with a square-shaped back finished in antique white lacquer with a naturally aged patina with some distressed areas. The chairs come with champagne color floral silk fabric. The fabric is clean-finished with brass nail-head trim. The padded seats are supported by elegant tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet typical for Louis XVI chairs. The front legs are also decorated with carved rosettes on the corners. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classic French silhouette and beautiful color combination.
