Late 19th Century French Louis Philippe Provincial Oak Writing Desk or Side Table

An elegant provincial writing desk or side table in the style of French Louis Philippe. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid oak featuring a rectangular top constructed with exposed wooden dowels. The top showcases a naturally aged patina on the wood finish with a beautiful warm brown color. The case is fronted by one large storage drawer with a wrought iron pull and supported by round-turned legs. The legs are conjoined on each side by square stretchers and a trestle constructed with wooden pegs. Beautifully crafted with excellent joinery and craftsmanship that showcases the lovely oak grain patterns and warm patina. The desk measures 22 inches from the floor to the apron.
