19th Century Set Of 4 French Louis XVI Lyre Back Painted Provincial Dining Chairs

Late 19th-century set of four painted dining chairs in the style of Frech Louis XVI. The chairs feature a hand-molded frame finished in pastel mint green lacquer with a naturally aged crackle patina with some distressed areas having hand-painted gold leaf details. What's special about the frame of these gorgeous chairs is the splat back frame influenced by the Greek Classical period. It illustrates an intricately hand-carved geometric composition of a lyre in intact condition. The spacious oval seats were reupholstered in light and dark gray Alcantara fabric clean-finished with nailhead trim. The padded seats are supported by elegant tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet typical for Louis XVI chairs.  The front legs are also decorated with carved rosettes on the corners covered with gold leaf. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classic French silhouette and beautiful color combination. Circa 1880s.
