Late 19th Century Set of 8 French Henry II Hunting Renaissance Walnut Dining Chairs W/ Original Hand-Tooled Leather
Late 19th-century set of 8 French Hunting Renaissance leather dining chairs hand-crafted from walnut in the style of French Henry II. The set features solid wood construction with intricate hand-carved details and intact spindles. The chairs come with their original aged, patinated, dark brown leather beautifully contrasting with the exposed warm brown suede underneath. The leather was cleaned finished with oversized brass pins. The hand-tooled leather has F.T. gold leaf embossed initials. Raised on hand-carved turned legs conjoined by an H-shape stretcher. Solid and stable with spacious seats. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a traditional French Henry II silhouette. Circa 1880s.
