Antique Set of 6 French Louis XVI Style Painted Provincial White Dining Chairs
A French provincial set of six painted dining chairs made in the style of French Louis XVI. The chairs feature a hand-molded frame with a square-shaped back finished in white lacquer having a naturally aged patina with some distressed areas. The chairs are upholstered red cotton fabric cleaned finished with brass tack nailhead trim. The padded seats are supported by elegant tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet typical for Louis XVI chairs. The front legs are also decorated with carved rosettes on the corners. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classic French silhouette and beautiful color combination.
