19th Century Country French Provincial Farmhouse Walnut Dough Bin

19th-century country French provincial dough bin table from Provence, France. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid walnut featuring 3.75 feet long rectangular top with breadboard ends constructed with tenon and mortise joints. The top showcases a naturally aged warm patina with beautiful walnut grains. The top slides to reveal a spacious storage bin. This type of petrin style table was once used to make the bread dough mix in the bin, then removed and kneaded on the tabletop. The top was also used to iron clothes. The bin of the petrin is crafted from solid walnut constructed with 2-inch exposed dovetail joinery and wood peg dowels. This storage table is supported by a heavy stand with thick provincial legs constructed with wooden pegs. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a Classic French provincial profile. Great for a kitchen storage

- Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with age-appropriate wear. Aged, rustic patina on the finish as seen in photos. Natural age splits in the wood.
