A traditional set of six painted dining chairs made in the style of French Louis XVI. The chairs feature a hand-molded frame with an oval-shaped medallion back finished in white lacquer with a naturally aged patina with some distressed areas. The backrest is covered in hand-waved cane. The chairs are upholstered in blue velvet mohair fabric, clean-finished with tack nailhead trim. The seats are supported by elegant tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet typical for Louis XVI chairs. The front legs are also decorated with carved rosettes on the corners. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classic French silhouette and beautiful color combination.
