An elegant set of eight country French provincial dining chairs made in the style of French Louis XVI/ Marie Antoinette. The set consists of six side chairs and two armchairs. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid oak and constructed with a hand-molded frame with a square-shaped back showcasing a naturally aged warm patina. The set comes with hand-weaved rush seats and backs in intact condition. The seats are supported by elegant tapered, fluted legs ending on toupie toes. The front legs are also decorated with carved rosettes on the corners. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classic French silhouette.

 

- Origin: Provence, France

- Dimensions: Side chairs: W 19" x D 17.5" x H 36" - seat height 17.5" ; Armchairs: W 22.5" x D 20.25" x H 36" - seat height 17.5"/ arm height 27.5". Two of the side chairs measure 34.75" in height. 

- Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with age-appropriate wear.
