Antique French Louis XVI Style Provincial Mahogany Writing Desk W/ Brown Leather Top
Gorgeous early 1900s French writing desk in the style of Grand Louis XVI. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid mahogany constructed with a rectangular top with a beveled edge. The top is covered with brown leather decorated with gold leaf trim. The leather top showcases a naturally aged distressed patina that contrasts beautifully with the warm brown mahogany color of the desk. Each side of the desk has slide-out extensions covered in leather.The desk is fronted by three large storage drawers constructed with dovetail joints and brass pulls. The writing table is supported by four elegant tapered legs. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship and a French Provincial Louis XVI profile.
