An exquisite late 19th-century set of six French dining chairs in the Louis XVI style, sourced from Provence, France. Each chair features a hand-crafted gilded frame with an intricately hand-carved oval back. The golden finish exhibits a naturally aged, distressed patina with remnants of red paint. The chairs have been structurally restored and newly upholstered in luxurious ivory woven chenille, clean-finished with built-in faux piping trim. Supported by gracefully tapered, fluted legs ending in toupie feet, the front legs are adorned with beautifully carved rosettes on the corners. Solid and stable, these chairs boast excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classic Louis XVI profile.
