A whimsical set of eight country French provincial painted dining chairs made in the style of French Louis XV. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid wood featuring elegant frames with intricate floral carved motifs. The chairs have been hand-painted with antique white lacquer decorated with Parisian blue paint accents showcasing a lovely naturally aged patina. The chairs come with their original hand-painted and hand-weaved cane seats and backrests in intact condition. The front and sides have a serpentine form that further accentuates the shape of the seat. The chairs are supported by hand-carved cabriole legs ending with scroll toes typical for Louis XV. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship and a Classic French Louis XV provincial profile
