An elegant provincial writing desk or side table in the taste of French Louis XIII. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid oak featuring a rectangular top with a beveled edge. The desk has been previously stripped and it showcases a natural rustic patina. Cased with two storage drawers constructed with dovetail joins and green glass pulls. The apron clearance measures 24 inches from the floor to the apron. The table is supported by hand-carved turned legs conjoined with a trestle constructed with exposed wooden dowels. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a Traditional French Louis XIII profile.
