Fabulous pair of mid-19th-century French Empire-style nightstands or side tables. Beautifully hand-crafted with burl eye maple veneer showcasing a naturally aged warm patina on the finish with rich burl grains. Topped with loose rectangular green marble tops and cased with one drawer each. The drawers are decorated with ormolu brass motifs. The nightstands are raised on square tapering herm supports headed by brass female busts, with mirrored back and lion paw feet. Raised on a platform base.
