Late 19th-century French provincial painted loveseat or settee in Louis XVI style. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid wood featuring a solid hand-molded frame with a square back showcasing naturally aged light gray patina with faded areas. The frame showcases an intricately hand-carved square frame with floral motifs. The settee is upholstered in blue cotton fabric cleaned-finished with pipe trim. The loveseat is supported by four elegantly tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet typical for Louis XVI style. The legs are also decorated with carved rosettes on the corners. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classic French provincial silhouette and beautiful color combination.
