19th Century French Louis XVI Style Provincial Mahogany Writing Desk W/ Red Leather Top
Gorgeous late 19th-century French writing table in the style of Grand Louis XVI. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid mahogany constructed with 3.85 feet long rectangular top. The top is covered with a red color leather decorated with gold leaf trim. The leather top showcases a naturally aged distressed patina that contrasts beautifully with the rich brown mahogany color of the desk. Each side of the desk has slide-out extensions measuring 14 inches by 18 inches and covered in leather.The desk is fronted by three large storage drawers with decorative solid brass ribbon pulls constructed with dovetail joints. Two drawers on the left side, one central drawer, and a filing drawer on the right side. The writing table is supported by four elegant fluted legs. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship and a French Provincial Louis XVI profile.
