19th Century French Louis XIV Provincial Gustavian Style Painted Bombay Commode Chest

Incredible 19th-century French Louis XIV provincial bombay chest. The commode is painted in Gutsavian style with muted pastel colors showcasing naturally aged patina on the paint with some faded areas. Entirely hand-crafted having a serpentine frame and hand-molded floral motifs. The black beveled edge top has been marbleized. The chest has two spacious storage drawers with original brass handles. Traditional provincial carved apron supported by carved feet. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a Gustavian provincial profile.

- Condition: Good, minor wear consistent with age and use. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with age-appropriate wear. Aged, rustic patina on the finish as seen in photos.
