Late 19th-century French provincial painted loveseat or settee in French Directoire style. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid wood featuring a solid hand-molded frame with a square back showcasing naturally aged pale green patina decorated with gold leaf. The frame showcases an intricately hand-carved square frame with floral motifs. The settee is upholstered in champagne color floral silk fabric clean-finished with lace trim. The loveseat is supported by four elegantly tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet typical for Louis XVI style. The legs are also decorated with carved rosettes on the corners.
