19th Century French Louis XVI Style Provincial Painted Marquise White Armchairs - A Pair
Late 19th-century pair of marquise armchairs in Grand Louis XVI taste. The chairs feature hand-molded square back frames with intricately hand-carved design elements. Beautifully painted in white lacquer showcasing a naturally aged patina with some faded areas. The pair has been professionally reupholstered with off-white embroidered fabric and clean finished with lace trim. The spacious padded seats are supported by elegant tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet typical for Louis XVI chairs. The front legs and back are also decorated with carved rosettes on the corners. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classic French silhouette and beautiful color combination.
