An early 18th-century French Renaissance console, curated from Provence, France. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid walnut constructed with a 5.29-feet long narrow rectangular top. The top showcases a naturally aged warm patina constructed with exposed wooden dowels and breadboard ends with tenon and mortise joints. Made in provincial style the table has a hand-carved scalloped decorative apron at the front with a clearance of 26-inches. The carved apron showcases an engraved date, 1716, signifying the date of creation. The console is raised on four carved tapered legs constructed with wooden dowels and conjoined by a trestle. Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a Traditional French Renaissance profile.
