Large late-18th century French provincial farmhouse storage chest made in the taste of French Louis XIII. Entirely hand-crafted from solid walnut with a rectangular frame showcasing a naturally aged, rustic patina with rich brown color. The plank top reveals a large storage bin perfect for storing linens and blankets. Constructed with the original wrought iron handles on each side and oversized dovetail joints. The chest is raised on two large bun feet at the front and thick rectangular legs at the back Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a Traditional French Louis XIII profile. Would make a great coffee table!
