Spectacular late 18th-century French library table or writing table made in the taste of grand Baroque Louis XIII curated from Provence, France. The table features
a trestle-style base constructed with large barley twist legs conjoined to a barley twist stretcher with block joints ending with bun feet. Crafted from solid walnut showcasing a naturally aged warm patina with rich grains. Constructed with a rectangular top with an ogee edge and newly re-done brown Italian leather. The desk is fronted by four storage drawers constructed with dovetail joins and wrought iron pulls. The table measures 24 inches from the floor to the apron and has a finial centered on the bottom stretcher.
Solid and stable with excellent joinery and craftsmanship and a Traditional Louis XIII provincial profile.
