Magnificent late-19th-century French provincial 3-seater sofa in the style of Grand Louis XVI. Beautifully crafted from solid walnut, showcasing an intricately hand-carved square frame with floral motifs. The wood showcases a naturally aged warm patina with beautiful walnut grains and rich brown color. The sofa has been upholstered in vintage black Italian leather clean-finished with nailhead trim. The sofa is supported by six elegantly tapered, fluted legs ending with toupie feet typical for Louis XVI style. The legs are also decorated with carved rosettes on the corners. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a classic French Louis XVI silhouette.
